Group Piano (Fall)

Your child will gain a strong foundation for piano study through both one-on-one instruction and group activities. Students will learn the basics of piano, utilizing musical games and exercises to explore and be inspired through music. As students progress through the program they will learn more complex techniques and musical concepts as they expand their repertoire. Additionally, students will receive instruction through small groups and one-on-one attention as they learn songs that are connected to the class content.
Each student will have an individualize lesson plan, including theory assignments and appropriate, fun songs to work on for the week. All students have the opportunity to performing songs at the end of class, as well as at the end of each session for friends, parents, and family.
As students progress through the program, they learn to: play more advanced songs; pick out melodies; use the musical alphabet; gain a strong sense of rhythm; understand the use of chords; read music and charts; improvise; play by ear; explore different styles of music; create music and original song ideas.
