Group Classes

UpBeat offers weekly, 60-minute piano classes which provide high quality support and individual instruction to each student. These small group classes, led by multiple instructors, are structured to help students gain a strong musical foundation in technique, theory, composition, and performance. Class size ranges from 2-8 participants, which allows for students to work together, as well as receive individual piano instruction.

Rock band sessions help students understand and practice the art of collaboration, teamwork, and discipline in a fun and supportive setting. Through small group rehearsals, students sharpen their "band" skills to prepare for live performances and to become more mature musicians. UpBeat rock bands *perform quarterly at local music venues and street festivals. Students are coached by professional musicians and learn how to manage a rehearsal, communicate clearly, listen more effectively, and to inspire others through performances. These 60-minute weekly classes help students utilize their existing musical skills, stretch them as performers, and prepare for a live show with their bandmates.

The focus of the class is to have fun, enjoy community, learn songs, and grow as a musician and performer. For any student who is passionate about performing live, this class will help build confidence and provide skills necessary to be successful and enjoy the world of live music!
